A man died in a fire in the village of Molodezhnoye near Simferopol.
In the Simferopol district of the Republic of Crimea, a man died as a result of a fire in a five-story house. This is reported by the Republican State Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
The fire occurred on Thursday afternoon, July 31, in the urban-type settlement of Molodezhnoye. An apartment on the fifth floor of a five-story building caught fire.
"A man's body was found at the scene of the fire. 22 people were evacuated, two were rescued," the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement.
According to the SevastopolMedia news agency, the rescued are a woman and a child. They were in the next apartment. Firefighters also took the cat out of the smoke-filled apartment, and it was resuscitated.
The fire area was 50 sq. m. Extinguishing was complicated by heavy cluttering of the apartment. The living space itself was completely destroyed. In addition, untimely cleaning of dry vegetation and combustible debris in the surrounding area made it difficult to travel to the fire site.
According to preliminary information, the cause of the fire was careless handling of fire. 25 people and eight pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
On the same day, a fire broke out in a five-story building in Balashikha, Moscow region. One person was killed, and about 90 residents were evacuated. A temporary accommodation facility was set up at the local school for them.
