The lawyer told about fraudulent schemes for students looking for work
The student should check the information about the employer in the state register, seeking advice from the employment center or directly to the prosecutor's office if there are suspicions, as there are many schemes for deceiving inexperienced applicants. Lawyer Ilya Rusyaev told about this on Thursday, July 31.
According to the expert, the most common offers are to enroll in "exclusive" programs with prepayment for guaranteed employment. In addition, duplicate websites of the portal "Work in Russia" are being created, where fraudsters collect personal data and bank card details under the guise of an official resource.
The lawyer noted that another common technique is the offer to pay an alleged registration fee for participation in a competitive selection for an internship or a test assignment.
"After this, it becomes impossible to contact the "employer". The scheme of using forged documents from universities and recruitment agencies used to obtain "public services" violates the provisions of the Law on Consumer Protection and can be appealed in court with a claim for damages," Rusyaev said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
He added that in case of fraud, contacting the Ministry of Internal Affairs, complaints to Rostrud and Rospotrebnadzor accelerate the prosecution of intruders and the restoration of violated rights. Rusyaev recalled that civil liability for an unproven service allows you to claim damages and reimbursement of court costs.
On July 26, the Department for Combating the Illegal Use of Information and Communication Technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia advised not to use the screen demonstration function on phones when communicating in messengers. When using this method, a person runs the risk of transferring their data to fraudsters.
