The construction of a subway tunnel between Moscow and the Moscow region has begun on the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line. The Mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, and the governor of the Moscow Region, Andrei Vorobyov, have launched work on the site that will connect the future Linden Grove metro station in Krasnogorsk with Strogino in Moscow.

"The launch of the 10-meter shield at the Linden Grove station is a big event of our joint projects with the Moscow Region," Sobyanin wrote on the Telegram channel.

The mayor of Moscow recalled that Linden Grove will become the third metro station in the Moscow region. Ilinskaya and Krasnogorsk stations will also be opened on this line. It is planned to complete the construction of all the distillation tunnels from Shelepikha to Linden Grove in 2026.

Close cooperation has been established between the authorities of Moscow and the region, the mayor of the capital emphasized. "Work has been determined on a number of strategic programs in the fields of housing and communal services, education, healthcare, road construction and transport," Sobyanin said. One of the global projects is the development of Moscow's central diameters, the mayor of the capital recalled.

The new 27.6 km long line will run from Moscow City to Krasnogorsk. It will include 12 stations with transfers to the MCC, Solntsevskaya, Filevskaya, Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya and Bolshaya Koltsevaya metro lines. The first two stations of the branch — "Business Center" and "Shelepikha" — were opened in 2018 as part of the BCL.
