The Nicaraguan authorities recognized the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), Zaporizhia and Kherson regions as an integral part of Russia. The corresponding statement was published on July 31.

"On behalf of the Government and the people of Nicaragua, we (the authorities. We express our full support and recognition of the Donetsk, Kherson, Lugansk and Zaporizhia regions as an integral part of the Russian Federation," the republic's authorities said in a statement, the text of the message is quoted by the local newspaper El 19 digital.

It is clarified that the co-presidents of Nicaragua, Jose Daniel Ortega Saavedra and Rosario Murillo, expressed solidarity with the entire people of Russia, as well as the servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and their families, noting the heroic struggle against Ukrainian neo-Nazism, which is supported by NATO. They also added that they are confident that Russia will achieve all the goals of the special military operation.
