The sanctions strike that the West tried to inflict on Russia became a test for the entire Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), but it was successfully overcome. The corresponding conclusion was presented on July 31 by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting with diplomats in Minsk.

"The EAEU is already showing decent results today. The sanctions strike on Russia has become a test for the entire integration system. In general, she passed it successfully," the BelTA news agency quoted him as saying.

Lukashenko noted that, taking into account the presidency of Belarus in 2025, the country's agenda on the integration circuit should be fully implemented. And the priorities laid down by the country will become the basis for the EAEU Development Strategy for the next decade, he added.

On June 21, Lukashenko held talks in Minsk with the US President's special envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, during which the parties discussed sanctions against Belarus, conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine. Kellogg thanked Lukashenko for the meeting and noted the importance of preserving wisdom and justice.

On July 15, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that the country was coping with Western sanctions and was not afraid of new restrictions. According to him, European experts recognize that as a result, the damage from anti-Russian restrictions will primarily be suffered by "the author of this sanctions war."
