The case was opened on the death of a man in a boat collision on a river in Siberia.

A criminal case has been opened in the Krasnoyarsk Territory over the collision of two boats on the Chuna River, as a result of which one of the skippers drowned. This is reported by the Eastern Interregional SU on Transport of the Russian Investigative Committee.

The tragedy occurred the night before, on July 30, near the village of Chunoyar in Boguchansky district. Two motorboats collided on the Chuna River, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

As a result of the incident, one of the skippers fell overboard and drowned. A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of inland waterway transport, resulting in the death of a person."
