A municipal emergency regime has been introduced in the Yeravninsky district of the Republic of Buryatia due to drought. The district administration announced this in its Telegram channel on Thursday, July 31.

According to the order of the head of the district dated July 29, the emergency mode was introduced in connection with the atmospheric and soil drought, which caused the death of crops. It started operating on the same day at 4 p.m.

The intense heat in May and June led to the evaporation of moisture from the soil surface. The lack of effective precipitation also contributed to the current situation.

The rural settlements of Uldurginskoye, Ust-Egituiskoye, Egituiskoye, Komsomolskoye, Ulkhasaaskoye, Sosnovo-Ozerskoye, Tuldunskoye, Gundinskoye, Ozernoye, and Tselinnoye were affected.

As UlanMedia clarifies with reference to the forecast of weather forecasters, the high level of fire danger will remain in 4-8 districts of the republic until August 3.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
