- A teenager from Ufa was collecting information about strategic facilities for Ukraine
In Ufa, a 17-year-old teenager was charged with high treason for collecting information about strategically important facilities of the fuel and energy complex (fuel and energy complex) in Ufa, Kazan and Ryazan, as well as preparing sabotage. This was announced on July 31 by the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Republic of Bashkortostan in its Telegram channel.
According to investigators, from September 2024 to February 2025, the teenager colluded with an unknown curator in the messenger. For a fee of 65,000 rubles, the accused collected information about fuel and energy complex facilities, cars parked near organizations, institutions and residential buildings of interest to the curator. The information was transmitted to the Ukrainian side to commit sabotage.
"In January of this year, the teenager agreed to set fire to a railway locomotive for a promised monetary reward of 200 thousand rubles, but he did not have time to realize criminal intent due to his detention," the regional Investigative Committee clarified.
According to the department, the young man was charged with high treason and preparation for sabotage (part 1 of Article 30, part 1 of Article 281, Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court took the teenager into custody. Investigators and field officers continue to establish the circumstances of the crimes, including the identity of the organizer.
Earlier in the day, a married couple from Moscow was sentenced for collecting data for Ukrainian intelligence on employees of the special services and the military of the Russian Federation, as well as for preparing sabotage in Moscow before the Victory Day holiday in 2024. A man and a woman collected and transmitted to the special service of Ukraine data on units of the Federal Security Service (FSB), the Federal Security Service (FSO), the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Rosgvardiya. Also, on the eve of Victory Day in May 2024, the defendants were going to set fire to improvised incendiary devices and hide in Ukraine. They were given 15 and 17 years in prison.
