A check has been organized on the fact of the delay and cancellation of flights operated by Angara Airlines. This was reported on July 31 in the press service of the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.

"The Baikal-Angarsk Transport Prosecutor's Office has organized an inspection of the implementation of legislation on the protection of passenger rights," the Telegram channel says.

It is noted that the flights were canceled and delayed due to the cancellation of the certificate for the maintenance of aircraft of the airline.

Previously, the departure of flight IK83 on the Irkutsk – Kirensk route was postponed for two hours — at 19:00 local time (14:00 Moscow time). The flight was originally scheduled for 17:05 (12:05 Moscow time). The departure of flight IK84 Kirensk — Irkutsk was postponed from 19:35 (14:35 Moscow time) to 21:25 (16:25 Moscow time).

According to the publication, flights IK99/100 Irkutsk – Nizhneangarsk, Nizhneangarsk – Irkutsk, as well as IK 103/104 Nizhneangarsk – Ulan-Ude / Ulan-Ude – Nizhneangarsk were canceled.

The certificate of Angara Airlines was revoked on July 30. It was clarified that during the inspection, specialists revealed maintenance violations. In particular, the documentation was drawn up without actually performing the work, and the necessary tools and equipment were not used.

Prior to that, on July 24, Izvestia reported that the aviation authorities had maintenance claims against Angara. According to a source familiar with the situation, earlier the airline planned to revoke the certificate of the aircraft maintenance organization.
