At least 23 people were injured when an amusement ride crashed in Saudi Arabia.
At least 23 people were injured as a result of the breakdown of the 360 degrees attraction at an amusement park in Saudi Arabia. This was reported by Okaz newspaper on July 31.
"More than 23 people were injured <...> as a result of the collapse of an amusement park attraction in Taifa," the article says.
It is specified that the upper part of the frame broke off during operation and fell to the ground. The people on the attraction suffered moderate to severe injuries. According to eyewitnesses, the injuries were the result of the ride's rack bouncing back at high speed.
An investigation has been launched into the incident to determine the circumstances and causes of the fall of the attraction.
Earlier, on April 1, in Bishkek, a 19-year-old girl fell from an amusement ride due to a seat belt rupture. The victim was diagnosed with a brain contusion and an open traumatic brain injury.
