Lukashenko pointed to the strength of relations between Moscow and Minsk
Minsk and Moscow have passed a serious test of strength together and withstood this test, relations are now on the rise. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the heads of the Belarusian diplomatic missions on July 31.
"Our relations with Russia are currently on a very high rise. Minsk and Moscow have passed a serious test of strength together," Lukashenko said, quoted by the Telegram channel Pool One, which is close to the press service of the Belarusian leader.
According to him, Russia and Belarus were able to pass this test thanks to the functioning mechanism of the Union State.
On July 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Lukashenko on the Independence Day of Belarus. The Russian leader noted the brotherly friendship and mutual assistance that binds Russia and Belarus. Putin also stressed that the countries' relations remain as strong as ever.
