The deputies of the State Duma proposed to establish uniform days of free parking in paid places throughout Russia. A corresponding bill has been prepared and will be submitted to the lower house of parliament in the near future, TASS reported on July 31. The authors of the initiative were members of the New People faction.

As the deputies explained, now in the regions of the Russian Federation there are different rules for providing free parking in paid parking spaces on Sundays and public holidays on public roads of regional, inter-municipal and local importance. Uniform rules will eliminate inequality between regions, they believe.

The document plans to amend the law "on highways and on road activity in the Russian Federation."

The day before, it was reported that the State Duma is preparing a bill that proposes to oblige buses designed for 22 or more passengers to be equipped with air conditioning and heating systems in accordance with established standards.

Also on July 30, the State Duma proposed to supplement the Administrative Code with a new article, according to which an inspector would be required to pay a fine for sending an erroneous decision on a fine for traffic violations.
