The United States must compensate Iran for the damage caused by the attack on the country's territory. This was announced on July 31 by the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, Abbas Araqchi.

According to him, Tehran will not agree to the "usual course of business" after the conflict with Israel, which the United States joined for a short time despite the negotiation process.

"They (Americans. — Ed.) must explain why they attacked us in the midst of <...> negotiations, and guarantee that they will not repeat this [during future negotiations]. <...> And they must compensate [Iran] for the damage caused," Araqchi said in an interview with the Financial Times (FT).

In addition, he clarified that he had exchanged messages with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and informed him of the need to find a mutually beneficial solution to end the standoff over Iran's nuclear program.

On July 28, US President Donald Trump said that Washington was ready to strike again at the facilities of the Iranian nuclear program. He added that the United States is receiving "very unpleasant signals" from Iran.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, in turn, expressed concern about threats from the United States to launch new attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. According to her, the Russian Foreign Ministry sees incessant attempts by "politically biased and destructively minded forces" to undermine the situation around the Iranian nuclear program.
