Russia wants the Syrian people to overcome all challenges and fully normalize the situation in the country. This was announced on July 31 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a meeting with his Syrian counterpart Asaad Hassan al-Shibani in Moscow.

The Syrian minister, in turn, noted that the republic is also interested in establishing proper cooperation between Damascus and Moscow.
