An F-35 fighter jet crashed in California.
An F-35 fighter jet of the US Navy crashed near the Lemur Naval Air Base in central California. This was reported on July 31 by ABC News channel.
"An F-35C attached to the VFA-125 squadron <...> crashed near the Lemur Naval Air Station," the channel quoted the military base as saying.
It is specified that the pilot successfully ejected and is safe. None of the base personnel was injured. The cause of the crash is currently being determined.
Earlier, on July 27, ABC News reported that in Florida, a single-engine plane hit the roof of a car and crashed in a local park. It is specified that seven people were injured as a result.
