Russian Armed Forces soldiers destroyed an AFU mortar and NATO guns in the DPR
Russian military personnel of the Southern Group of Forces destroyed a mortar of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and two enemy guns manufactured by NATO in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on July 31.
The ministry said that an enemy mortar crew found near the village of Konstantinovka was hit by artillery fire. In the same place, a 105-mm M101 howitzer manufactured in the United States was destroyed by a strike from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crew.
In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the elimination of the British 105-mm L119 howitzer by units of the 2nd Guards Artillery Brigade of the 3rd Combined Arms Army in the Northern direction.
It is clarified that thanks to effective reconnaissance and the support provided by artillery and UAV calculations, the assault units of the Southern Group of Forces are successfully advancing on all sections of the line of contact, occupying new enemy positions.
On July 30, the Ministry of Defense announced the destruction by Russian fighters of the North group of forces of a camouflaged mortar of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of a special military operation. It was noted that the gun was found in a firing position in a wooded area.
