Morocco to send 180 tons of humanitarian aid to Palestinians
The Kingdom of Morocco will send 180 tons of medical and humanitarian aid to the Palestinians. This was reported on July 30 by the Maghreb Arab Presse (MAP) agency with reference to the kingdom's Foreign Ministry.
"King Mohammed VI <..."I have given my Highest orders to send emergency humanitarian and medical assistance to the fraternal Palestinian people, especially the population of the Gaza Strip," the newspaper quoted a statement from the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It is specified that humanitarian aid will amount to 180 tons. It will include basic foodstuffs, milk and baby products, medicines and surgical equipment, as well as blankets and suitable tents. All this will be delivered via a specially arranged route, which will ensure fast and direct delivery to the Palestinians.
The Ministry of Health of the Palestinian enclave reported on July 30 that the total number of deaths from malnutrition due to the blockade in the Gaza Strip increased to 154 people, including 89 children. In total, since the beginning of the conflict with Israel on October 7, 2023, the death toll has increased to 60,138 people, 146,269 were injured.
