A Telegram user was offered $25 million for his nickname
A Telegram user with the nickname @crypto was offered $25 million for his account. Pavel Durov, the founder of the messenger, announced this on July 30.
"One of the first TON users bought the @crypto username on Telegram for $350,000 2.5 years ago — and recently received an offer for $25 million," Durov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Durov added that Telegram recognizes users as free individuals with fundamental rights, including the right to dispose of their digital identity and assets.
The AFP news agency reported on July 28 that Durov had been called back for questioning in a Paris court. It is specified that the founder of Telegram arrived at the court accompanied by four lawyers.
