The Hamas movement still maintains a small missile arsenal, despite almost two years of fighting with Israel. This was reported to Izvestia by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

"They certainly have a small missile potential. We haven't gone through all the houses and sandy areas of Gaza yet. But this is an insignificant potential. They are still capable of occasionally firing at areas adjacent to the sector, firing one or two rockets each," IDF spokeswoman Anna Ukolova told Izvestia.

According to an editorial source in the Israeli cabinet, by the beginning of the conflict, the Palestinian movement had several tens of thousands of rockets, most of which were destroyed during the military campaign.

"Hamas was actively developing its missile potential, by the time the war began it had the potential of several tens of thousands of rockets that threatened the territory of Israel. Today, most of these rockets have been destroyed, but there is still a part that remains in the hands of Hamas," the source said.

Earlier, Al-Hadath TV channel reported that Qatar and Egypt had suspended mediation contacts between Israel and Hamas to resolve the conflict.
