Dmitry Bakanov, CEO of Roscosmos, visited the John F. Kennedy Space Center in the United States, where he met with the crew of the Crew Dragon spacecraft, which will include Oleg Platonov, a Russian, on his first flight to the International Space Station (ISS). This was announced on July 30 in the press service of the state corporation.

Platonov introduced Bakanov to the crew of the Crew-11 mission, in which he himself performs the functions of a specialist. It consisted of Commander Zina Cardman (first flight) and pilot Michael Fink (fourth flight) from the United States, as well as mission specialist Kimiya Yui from Japan (second flight).

Cardman explained that the mission's three—star emblem symbolizes the representatives of the three countries on the crew - Russia, Japan and the United States, and the small stars are dedicated to the children of the flight participants.

"I am personally ready for the flight, as is the entire crew. Our commander will confirm my words," said the Russian cosmonaut.

He stressed that during the training he had developed good relations with the crew members. Bakanov, in turn, wished the astronauts successful work on the ISS.

On the eve of the head of Roscosmos, on the first day of his working visit to the United States, he visited the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, where he got acquainted with NASA technologies. The organization clarified that the Russian delegation visited the Flight Control Center (MCC) of the American segment of the ISS.
