CSKA beat Lokomotiv in the first round match of the Russian Cup group stage

The football club (FC) CSKA from Moscow beat the capital's Lokomotiv with a score of 2:1 in the match of the first round of the group stage of the Paths of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The match took place on July 30 at the VEB Arena.

Lokomotiv's only goal was scored by midfielder Alexei Batrakov in the 68th minute. As noted by "Gazeta.Ru", the decisive goal for CSKA was scored by midfielder Kirill Glebov in the 79th minute. Midfielder Milan Gaj scored the first goal of the match in the 31st minute.

In the second round, CSKA will play away against Akron Togliatti on August 12. The next day, Lokomotiv will host Kaliningrad Baltika.

Earlier, on July 26, Lokomotiv beat Krasnodar in the second round match of the Russian championship. The game ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the Moscow club.
