Sobyanin opened a new embankment in the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve
During the large-scale project of comprehensive landscaping and rehabilitation of the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve, the first stage has been completed. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin visited the site of the work and opened a new modern promenade.
"We have created a first-class 3.5 km long promenade, which is slightly longer than the length of Vorobyovskaya or Pushkinskaya embankments. I am sure it will become a popular place to relax by the water," the mayor of the capital said in his Telegram channel.
The new embankment is equipped with a unique wooden deck above the water and artistic lighting. Cafes and leisure facilities are located in numerous pavilions, including a children's pavilion with interactive areas and a VR arena. Their walls are decorated with images of architectural historical landmarks of the Kolomenskoye Nature Reserve. A restaurant with a summer terrace by the water and a cafe have been opened on the quay square, next to which a swing is set up under a canopy. There is also a "Wedding Garden" on the embankment, decorated for ceremonies. In winter, one of the longest artificial ice rinks in the world will be flooded on the embankment. Anyone can also rent a sports equipment.
The new embankment has no name yet. According to Sobyanin, he will be chosen by Muscovites on the Active Citizen platform.
