At least 25 people died as a result of flooding in the city of Yola in Adamawa State in eastern Nigeria, the National Emergency Management Agency of Nigeria (NEMA) announced on July 30.

"Total number of displaced persons: 5,560. <...> Deaths reported: 25 <...>. Missing persons: 11,"— stated on the NEMA page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The exact number of victims has not yet been announced. The population in the flood zone was evacuated to a specially created camp on the territory of the Aliyu Musdafa College city school. People are provided with basic needs.

Non-governmental organizations came to the rescue services to eliminate the consequences of the flood.

The Chinese newspaper Science and Technology Daily reported on July 29 that at least 30 people died due to heavy rains in Beijing. It is specified that due to the influx of warm and humid air associated with a high-pressure area in the subtropics, severe thunderstorms and heavy rains have been observed in the Miyun area and other parts of Beijing in recent days.
