Nutritionist warned about the dangers of some snacks for beer in the heat
Hot weather creates ideal conditions for the reproduction of pathogenic bacteria, and some popular beer snacks become especially dangerous. Anastasia Lebedeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Dietetics at Rosbiotech University, warned about this on Wednesday, July 30.
According to the expert, salmonella and staphylococcus quickly develop in meat products such as smoked meats, sausages and shish kebabs if stored improperly. Fish, including dried fish, as well as seafood, such as squid and shrimp, deteriorate quickly due to their high protein and moisture content, provoking poisoning or allergic reactions, she noted.
The nutritionist warned that chips, crackers and nuts combined with lots of beer increase the load on the kidneys and liver, and in the heat can cause severe dehydration. Lebedeva recalled that in cheeses with mold and soft cheeses, bacteria, including listeria, actively multiply at high temperatures.
The specialist also urged to use mayonnaise salads with caution, as this dressing oxidizes in 30-40 minutes in the heat.
"Choose safe alternatives — fresh vegetables, unsalted nuts, baked meat products. Keep an eye on the expiration date — do not buy hand-held snacks or store-bought products with broken packaging. Perishable products should be stored in the cold for no longer than 1-2 hours," Lebedeva concluded in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
Associate Professor of the Department of Polyclinic Therapy at the University of Pirogova Dmitry Karpenko warned on July 28 that even 600 ml of beer daily can cause alcoholic hepatitis, writes Life.Ru .
On July 24, Oleg Matytsin, head of the State Duma Committee on Physical Education and Sports, said that deputies would discuss the issue of returning beer sales to stadiums during the autumn session, the National News Service reports.
Earlier, on July 22, it became known that Russia took the fifth place in the world ranking of beer producers, displacing Germany in the list, IA Regnum reports.
On July 3, it was reported that the Russian Federation was showing significant growth in the global ranking of leaders in the foam industry, overtaking even Germany. Despite the downward trend in beer production, domestic companies are showing growth. So, over the past year, Russia has increased volumes by 30%.
