Klyuchevsky volcano erupted in Kamchatka
The eruption of Klyuchevsky volcano in Kamchatka was recorded after an earthquake in the region. This was announced on June 30 in the press service of the Kamchatka branch of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution "Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences".
"Right now (at 14:55 Moscow time. — Ed.), the Klyuchevsky eruption," the Telegram channel reported.
It is specified that at the moment there is a descent of red-hot lava along the western slope, as well as a glow above the volcano, explosions are heard.
The press service also showed footage from a camera installed at a seismic station, where a flash of bright light is visible - a volcanic eruption.
Earlier in the day, an earthquake occurred in the Kamchatka Territory. A tsunami threat has been declared on the coast of the Avacha Bay. Emergency regimes were declared in the North Kuril region of the Sakhalin region and in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
A regional headquarters has been deployed in Kamchatka, and the healthcare system has been put on high alert. According to the regional Ministry of Health, one person was injured, the woman's condition is satisfactory. Later it was reported that at the moment there may be from 7 thousand to 8 thousand tourists in Kamchatka.
