It's easy to make a resume. But it's much more difficult to create one that really works. Timur Shirinov, founder and head of the Recruitment Science HR agency, Vice President of HR at MPSELLERS Business Club, and an expert on building effective teams, gave advice on how to write a RESUME correctly in an interview with Izvestia on July 31.

According to him, many candidates make the same mistake: every day, looking through hundreds of resumes, employers notice that applicants focus on their experience, forgetting about what is really important to the employer.

"Experience is only part of the picture. Even if there is not much of it, but there is a desire to develop and solve problems, this is appreciated more than just listing projects," the specialist emphasizes.

The expert advises you to include contact information, desired position and salary expectations in your resume. It is also important to indicate the city of residence, readiness to move, and age, which is an indicator of professional maturity.

Speaking about professional experience, the specialist recommends not just listing responsibilities, but showing motivation. Before describing your work experience, you should add a brief self-presentation, specifically describe the skills and their application, and also do not forget to specify recommendations.

"The employer values those who develop. Be sure to indicate your basic education, additional courses and certificates, as well as your level of proficiency in foreign languages," Shirinov said.

In addition, it is necessary to focus on achievements, while articulating them clearly and concretely.

"Motivation is more important than experience. It happens that a candidate has a solid experience, but has no desire to work — such an employee of the company is not needed. Your resume should show not only past achievements, but also a willingness to bring results in the future," concluded Shirinov.

Oleg Kim, a lawyer for civil and criminal cases at the Moscow Bar Association Grad, told Izvestia on July 21 that in 2025, the indexation of salaries of employees of budgetary professions will amount to 13.2%. He appreciated this prospect and told us who exactly could expect to receive a salary increase.
