The plan for artificial reforestation in the Pskov region for 2025 has been completed by 115%, despite the fact that the work was complicated by heavy rainfall. On Wednesday, July 30, the press service of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment reported on Telegram.

Forest crops were planted on an area of almost 2,263 hectares. The work will continue in the fall, the Pskov News feed writes.

"The forest is not only the property of the Russian Federation, but also our common wealth, which we will pass on to our children. Cleanliness and safety in the forest depends on each of us," the agency added.

To preserve young firs and pines, it is important to observe fire safety rules, and when harvesting buds and cones, leave the apical bud of the plant intact. The Ministry also thanked the caring citizens who help to keep the forests clean.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote that in Russia it would be allowed to cut down part of the mountain protective forests for the creation and development of ski resorts. At the same time, the Ministry of Economic Development introduces the duty of business to restore trees.
