The architecture of the business program of the Eastern Economic Forum-2025, which will be held on September 3-6 in Vladivostok, has been published on the official website. The main theme of this year's WEF is "The Far East – cooperation for peace and Prosperity." The organizer is the Roscongress Foundation.
"The tenth anniversary Eastern Economic Forum is taking place this year. Traditionally, at the forum, we will summarize what has been done, discuss what other mechanisms need to be developed to develop the economy and improve the quality of life of the Far East, as well as set plans for the long term. The key to advancing the socio-economic development of the Far East is the support of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, and his vision of prioritizing the tasks facing the macroregion. The development of the Far East has been declared a national priority by the head of state for the entire 21st century. And we will do everything possible to fulfill the tasks that the head of state sets for us. We are helped in this by the WEF, which has become a world-class platform for discussing diverse aspects of the economy, attracting investment, and the social sphere with leading investors, business representatives, and government authorities. We are traditionally waiting for our foreign partners at the Forum and are ready to strengthen cooperation with them," said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum.
The WEF-2025 business events are divided into six thematic blocks: "The Far East – a territory for life and development", "Recipes for growth: investment, innovation, integration", "Openness and mutually beneficial partnership – the basis of stability", "Technology: from theory to economic effects", "Cities – for people's lives" and the "Arteries of Growth: how logistics is changing the economy."
"The shift of the centers of business, economic and cultural activity to the East is one of the central trends in recent history, which inevitably leads the world to multipolarity based on equality. In accordance with the requirements of the times, Russia is consistently moving in this direction. Over the past years, the Eastern Economic Forum has consolidated its status as the most important platform aimed at forming partnerships with the countries of the Asian–Pacific region and the dynamic development of the Far East. The program of the anniversary Forum will include thematic sessions on the most relevant areas, from the development of human capital and the urban environment to issues of technological breakthrough and international cooperation. Special attention will be paid to creating conditions for a comfortable life in the region, as well as creative industries as a driver of a new type of economy. I am convinced that the Forum will make it possible to develop practical solutions for shaping specific vectors of Russia's development in accordance with the current geopolitical situation and strengthen its role in the economy of the future," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the WEF Organizing Committee.
The track "The Far East – a territory for life and development" will focus on demographic policy, modernization of social infrastructure, education and healthcare, as well as measures to support the population. Special attention is planned to be paid to the development of human capital through patriotic education programs, migration policy and the involvement of women, youth and the older generation in economic processes.
The implementation of investment projects, improvement of preferential regimes, development of financial instruments and support for small and medium-sized businesses will be discussed within the framework of the "Recipes for growth: investment, innovation, integration" direction. The development of the agro-industrial complex and the development of logistics will be discussed separately.
The topic of technological transformation will be reflected in the block "Technologies: from theory to economic effects", which includes issues of the introduction of artificial intelligence, the development of bioeconomics and additive technologies. In this area, special emphasis is placed on scientific and technical cooperation and the commercialization of innovative developments.
Prospects for the development of international cooperation will be discussed at sessions within the framework of the track "Openness and mutually beneficial partnership – the basis of stability", where they will consider issues of interaction with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, the development of transport corridors, including the Northern Sea Route, as well as cultural and educational exchanges.
The development of a comfortable environment and the quality of the urban environment will be the main topics in the block "Cities for people's lives", dedicated to the development of tourism infrastructure, the introduction of smart technologies and the creation of attractive living conditions in the region.
