Four whales washed up on a beach in the Japanese city of Tateyama, Chiba Prefecture. This was reported on July 30 by NHK TV channel.

The incident occurred at about 05:00 (23:00 on July 29, Moscow time) on Heysaur beach. The whales were spotted by a local resident who went out to check the height of the waves before surfing.
