A state of emergency (emergency) has been introduced in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky after the earthquake. This was announced on July 30 by the head of the city district Evgeny Belyaev.

"An emergency regime is in effect in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in connection with the earthquake that occurred today," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Belyaev noted that the inspection of buildings in the city continues. First of all, the specialists examined the social facilities. In one of the kindergartens, which was under repair, there was a partial collapse of the facade, but there were no casualties. In other institutions, only cosmetic damage was recorded, such as plaster crumbling and cracks allowed during an earthquake.
