The health care system of the Kamchatka Territory has been put into an enhanced mode after the earthquake. This was announced on Wednesday, July 30, by the governor of the region, Vladimir Solodov.

"The healthcare system has been put into an enhanced mode of operation. We are working on a clear patient routing scheme so that everyone who needs help gets it promptly," Solodov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He instructed to create a list of facilities for instrumental inspection by July 31, as well as to prepare a general assessment of material damage within a week. Special attention will be paid to residential buildings that have received reports of partial destruction.

"This is the strongest earthquake in the entire instrumental period, with a magnitude of 8.8. Regular prolonged aftershocks are expected," Solodov added.

In addition, the governor ordered to prepare proposals for the inspection of social institutions built according to standard designs similar to the kindergarten, where damage was previously recorded. An examination of the condition of the Yelizovo Airport terminal will also be carried out and measures to eliminate deficiencies will be developed.
