The calculation of the Orlan-10 UAV successfully completed the tasks of reconnaissance of the targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Military personnel of the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crew of the Center motorized rifle unit are successfully carrying out tasks of reconnaissance of militant targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and aiming artillery fire, including multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) Grad in the Red Army area. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on July 30.

In the area of the special operation, the Orlan-10 complexes provide round-the-clock continuous operation, detecting concentrations of manpower, equipment and camouflaged firing points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, even in difficult weather conditions. Drones effectively overcome enemy electronic warfare systems, operating at altitudes of several thousand meters. The calculations of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation demonstrated a special role during the counter-battery struggle, ensuring the destruction of the artillery guns of the Armed Forces of Ukraine FPV drones.

"Now we are mainly detecting the movement of equipment [of the Armed Forces of Ukraine] and working in counter—battery warfare," said Sergey Kozin, senior operator of the Orlan-10 UAV calculation.

On July 29, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that fighters from units of the South group of forces had destroyed two control points for Ukrainian UAVs and an ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic. A camouflaged Ukrainian Armed Forces warehouse was discovered during reconnaissance near the village of Konstantinovka.
