The Moscow City Court sentenced a married couple to 15 and 17 years in prison for collecting information related to facilities of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (RF). This was announced by the Moscow Prosecutor's office on July 30.

As a result of the trial, the woman received 17 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony and a fine of 100,000 rubles. The man was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony.

"By the verdict of the court, the defendants in the case were found guilty under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High Treason")," the TASS news agency reports.

It became known that in May 2023, the accused contacted a representative of the Main intelligence directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. She was assigned by him to collect and transmit information about Russian military installations in Moscow and the Moscow Region.

Also "Gazeta.Ru" clarified that in order to carry out this task, the accused colluded with her husband, who monitored the situation while collecting information. The woman received a large sum of money after she sent the collected information to the curator.

The Tver Region Prosecutor's Office announced on July 24 that the 2nd Western District Military Court had handed down a verdict in the case of high treason and preparation of sabotage against Kirill Jafarov and Pavel Devnin. The men were found guilty under articles on high treason, facilitating terrorist activities and preparing to participate in the activities of a terrorist organization.
