More than 50 thousand spectators watched the circus show "Pushkin's Dreams"
In two months, the theatrical circus show "Pushkin's Dreams" in the Druzhba Hall in Luzhniki was attended by more than 50 thousand spectators. The show will run until September 21st.
"There are a lot of impressions after watching. An inspiring and stunning performance. It is completely unclear how the artists do all this and what it costs them, although everything looks easy and relaxed. There's a lot of humor in the show, a lot of obvious references to Pushkin, and you sit and figure out what a fairy tale it is," theater and film actress Nelly Uvarova told about her impressions after the show.
The show "Pushkin's Dreams" was prepared by the New Russian Circus in partnership with Innopraktika and the All-Russian Federation of Dance Sports, Breaking and Acrobatic Rock'n'roll. Performances will run until September 21, 2025 at the Druzhba Universal Sports Hall in Luzhniki.
The show features original performances that combine classic circus genres with breaking, acrobatic rock'n'roll and modern dance. More than 60 artists perform on stage: laureates of international festivals, honored masters of sports, champions of Russia and the world.
A special feature of the show is the consistent dramatic action, which is told in the language of tricks and artistic productions. Many of the presented numbers are used in circus art for the first time. Among them is the plural cor de parel, a number that has no analogues in the world.
The premiere of the theatrical circus show "Pushkin's Dreams" in Moscow became known on April 21. The production is based on Pushkin's fairy tales, told in the language of a trick: "Ruslan and Lyudmila", "The Tale of the dead Princess", "The Tale of Tsar Saltan", "About the fisherman and the fish", "About the priest and his employee Balda", "About the Golden Cockerel". The script of "Pushkin's Dreams" was written by the winner of the Golden Mask, one of the authors of the documentary web series "1917. Free History" and the performance Mysteries of Osiris by the London Rift Theater at the British Museum Mikhail Degtyarev.
