More than 50 apartments, 11 private households and ten apartment buildings were damaged in Salsk as a result of a night attack by enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The drone strike killed three people. This was announced on July 29 by the acting governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar.
"Three people were killed — one civilian and two sappers of the Rosgvardiya. My deepest condolences to your family and friends. I have decided to pay the funds to the families of the victims," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
In addition, the drone also damaged the infrastructure of the railway station, which restricted train traffic. It was temporarily resumed only by noon. At the moment, work is underway to restore the railway tracks, which are scheduled to be completed on the morning of July 30.
Due to the drone strike, residents of the Novosalsk neighborhood were left without electricity, and by the evening of July 29, it could not be returned, and restoration work is underway. At the same time, there is electricity in social facilities.
According to Slyusar, it is planned to complete the damage survey within three days, and to make payments for the loss of property within two weeks. Among the priorities of the acting governor named the priority restoration of the most affected houses.
On the same day, Donetsk Mayor Alexei Kulemzin announced that two apartment buildings had been damaged at night as a result of an attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is noted that balconies and glazing were damaged in residential buildings. There were no casualties as a result of the attack.
