Weather conditions are expected to worsen in the Moscow region until the evening of July 29. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region on Tuesday, July 29.
"In the next hour, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in places in the Moscow region until 22:00 on July 29. During a thunderstorm, wind gusts up to 14 m/s," the Moscow City News agency quotes the message.
Due to the worsening weather, the department recommended motorists to slow down, increase the distance and avoid sudden maneuvers. Pedestrians should avoid billboards and rickety structures, and avoid hiding under trees.
Earlier that day, the Hydrometeorological Center warned that an "orange" weather hazard level had been set in Moscow due to abnormally hot weather. It was extended until 18:00 on July 31. The air temperature will rise to +31 degrees, according to 360.ru .
