Rostec State Corporation and the Higher School of Economics (HSE) have signed a strategic partnership agreement in the field of science and education. The corresponding statement was published on Rostec's website on July 29.
Rostec and the Higher School of Economics have agreed to implement joint projects in the field of digitalization of the design, production, testing and operation of high-tech products, including the development of applied models of artificial intelligence (AI—. This will reduce the time and cost of developing and certifying new equipment," the report says.
It is specified that the agreement is aimed at conducting joint research, training highly qualified personnel and building a scientific and technical foundation in the interests of high-tech industries in Russia.
In addition, Rostec and the Higher School of Economics, together with Moscow School No. 58 in the Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo district, will provide career guidance to students in the areas of engineering, IT and cybersecurity. Students will be offered advanced studies in natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics.
It is noted that this agreement also implies setting strategic objectives for joint research, creating organizational and economic mechanisms for introducing innovations into industry, and developing the human resources potential of organizations in the fields of computer science, business analytics, microelectronics, and electronic engineering.
The HSE will launch retraining and advanced training programs for Rostec employees in the field of economics and management.
The press service of the state corporation stressed that at the moment the training of highly qualified specialists is already being implemented under the master's program "Business Intelligence Analyst". It focuses on the development of Big Data technologies and tools for information and analytical work.
According to Nikita Anisimov, Rector of the Higher School of Economics, the main potential of their cooperation with Rostec is to train specialists in engineering and computer subjects. He added that engineers trained under this program can subsequently work in Rostec structures in "the highest positions."
"And we (HSE. — Ed.) are ready to work for the corporation (Rostec. — Ed.) scientific research and development in various high—tech fields, from microelectronics to computer security, and to form forecasts for our partners on the technological priorities of the future," concluded Anisimov.
Earlier, on June 19, Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center (NRC), stressed that Russia must maintain and develop its technological leadership. He called for fully, sustainably, and reliably ensuring national security. Also, according to him, Russia should take an important, worthy place in the space services market.
