A teenager died after being electrocuted on a railway in the Moscow region. A criminal case has been initiated. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia on Tuesday, July 29.

The case of fatal injury to a teenager born in 2007 was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic safety rules and operation of railway transport, resulting in the death of a person by negligence," the Moscow City News Agency reports.

During the preliminary investigation, it was established that on July 29, a young man, while trying to climb onto the roof of an electric train, received an electric shock at the Bykovo railway station of the Ryazan direction of the Moscow Railway (MZhD) in the Moscow region. The victim was taken to the hospital with burns, where he died from his injuries.

The investigator and criminologist conducted an inspection of the scene, the necessary examinations were appointed, and a set of investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident is being carried out.
