In the north of Moscow, the rescue operation of workers trapped on the upper floors of a building under construction on Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street has ended. This was reported on July 29 in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the capital.

"The rescue operation has been completed successfully. 19 workers were saved," the department said in a Telegram channel.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, by the time rescuers arrived, the fire was on the ground floor, and thick smoke enveloped the upper floors. On the 12th, 14th and 19th floors, workers who could not get down on their own were waiting for help. During the operation, rescuers took them out of the building and extinguished the fire.

Earlier, on July 25, an eight-year-old child died as a result of a fire in a private house in the village of Mokrushino, Krasnoyarsk Territory. A woman and three children managed to evacuate. Another boy with burns and signs of carbon monoxide poisoning was carried out by neighbors. The child later died in the hospital.
