A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that as a result of active actions, units of the Center group of forces liberated the village of Novoukrainka, and the Vostok group of forces liberated Temirovka.
In addition, units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated two brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of the settlements of Lukyanovskoye, Zaporizhia region, Antonovka and Sadovoye, Kherson region, as well as in the area of the city of Kherson. In these areas, enemy losses amounted to more than 70 militants, three warehouses of materiel, three warehouses with shells, five electronic warfare stations and two vehicles.
In addition, missile forces, tactical aviation, artillery and attack drones of the Russian Armed Forces hit the infrastructure of a military airfield, temporary deployment sites for Ukrainian formations and foreign mercenaries, a production workshop and a training center for operators of unmanned aerial vehicles in 142 areas.
In addition, the air defense forces destroyed 236 aircraft-type drones and a long-range guided missile "Neptune".
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 664 aircraft, 73,389 unmanned aerial vehicles, 27,948 field artillery and mortars, 283 helicopters, 24,375 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,583 multiple launch rocket systems, 624 anti-aircraft missile systems, and 38,855 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
