A forest fire broke out near the village of Kabardinka in Gelendzhik, its area is 9 hectares. This was reported on July 29 in the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Krasnodar Territory.

"The difficult—to-reach mountainous terrain and hot, dry weather complicate extinguishing," the ministry's press service stressed.

46 people and 11 pieces of equipment are working at the site, including an Mi-8 helicopter. Alexey Bogodistov, head of the Gelendzhik resort city municipality, added in a Telegram channel that volunteers are helping to extinguish the fire.

On July 12, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Crimea reported a 40-hectare forest fire in the Simferopol region of the republic. 340 people and 75 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire, including two helicopters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation and one board of the Russian Guard.
