Sobyanin spoke about plans to improve about 700 streets in Moscow.
This year, about 700 city streets will be put in order in Moscow, including Shchelkovskoye Highway with Krasnoprudnaya and Bolshaya Cherkizovskaya streets. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in his Telegram channel.
The Moscow mayor recalled that the improvement of Shchelkovsky highway began in April this year. Work is underway on the section from Komsomolskaya Square to MKAD, and it is planned to complete it in the fall.
Shchelkovskoye Highway is one of the largest road routes in Moscow, with about 570,000 people living in its area of attraction, Sobyanin stressed. The highway passes more than 22 thousand cars per day. At the same time, the passenger traffic of 51 urban transport routes is 250 thousand people daily.
"Creating a comfortable city is a constant, systemic task that we are actively engaged in," stressed the Mayor of Moscow. He noted that every year the Moscow authorities implement thousands of landscaping projects in different urban areas: from courtyards and parks to streets and areas near transport facilities.
