A one-year-old child killed a 70-centimeter cobra while playing in the village of West Champaran in the Indian state of Bihar. This was reported by the Hindustan Times newspaper on July 29.

"In a shocking incident in the Bettiah district of Bihar, a one—year-old boy bit a cobra, mistaking it for a toy while playing at home," the publication says.

It is specified that the child tore the reptile into two parts with a bite. After that, the snake died.

According to the newspaper, the child was taken to the primary care center. Later, the boy was sent to another medical facility for further treatment.

It is noted that the child has no signs of poisoning, but he continues to undergo treatment. The boy's life is not in danger.

On July 10, it was reported that a man was swallowed whole by a python in the Indonesian village of Majapahit. It is noted that after the autopsy of the python, the body of a man was found by local residents. This was the first time a local resident in the area had been swallowed by a python.
