The air defense and electronic warfare forces neutralized a drone over Minsk at night

An unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crashed on Matusevich Street in Minsk. This was announced on Tuesday, July 29, by the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.

"By the Air Defense forces on duty <...> the flight of an unidentified aerial target, a violator of the order of use of airspace, identified as a UAV, was detected and stopped," the country's Defense Ministry wrote on its Telegram channel.

The ministry clarified that after the use of electronic warfare (EW), the drone fell. There were no casualties as a result of the incident.

Taking into account the events in the republic, control measures over the use of airspace are being strengthened. An investigation is underway into the incident.
