Due to large-scale wildfires in forests throughout the Republic of Tyva, a state of emergency (emergency) has been introduced. This was announced on July 29 by the governor of the region Vladislav Khovalyg.

He noted that currently the fire in the region has covered 870 hectares of taiga. The fires were caused by dry thunderstorms.

"The situation with fires in the forests of the republic is alarming...> Over the past day, 24 fires have already been registered. The forces and resources of the Ministry of Forestry and municipalities work closely together. We requested help from neighboring regions," Khovalyg said in his Telegram channel.

The FBU "Avialesookhrana" added that more than 50 parachutists and paratroopers of the department were sent to help eliminate fires. Forces from the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia are also being deployed to Tyva.

On July 9, the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Trans-Baikal Territory reported that 665 forest fires had been extinguished since the beginning of the season, and the fire had engulfed 2.6 million hectares. It was clarified that civil servants, volunteers and volunteers provided active assistance in extinguishing the fire. On July 14, it was reported that the fire situation in the Trans-Baikal Territory and Buryatia had stabilized, and the emergency regime in the forests of these regions had been lifted.
