The FSB prevented a terrorist attack against a high-ranking military officer in Rostov-on-Don

In Rostov-on-Don, Russian FSB officers prevented a terrorist attack that was being prepared by a native of Central Asia on behalf of the special services of Ukraine. This was announced on Tuesday, July 29, by the FSB's Public Relations Center.

"The Federal Security Service has detained a citizen of one of the Central Asian states, born in 1982, who was involved in the preparation of a terrorist act in Rostov-on-Don against a high—ranking serviceman of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on instructions from the Ukrainian special services," the Central Security Service said in a statement.

According to the agency, the detainee was planning to kill one of the high-ranking Russian military. A homemade bomb with a capacity of 400 grams of TNT was seized from him. It is also specified that the detainee confesses.
