Participants of the youth camp from Russia visited the Songwon children's camp in the DPRK and expressed gratitude to the head of state Kim Jong-un for the opportunity to relax in his country. This was reported on July 29 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

On July 28, a meeting of shift participants from Russia and Korea took place at the Songwon International Camp, where a letter of thanks from Russian schoolchildren was read out.

"At the meeting, a letter sent by young students from Russia was first read out to esteemed Comrade Kim Jong-un, and then politely handed over to the group," the statement said.

It is specified that during the event, the participants shared their impressions of the meeting and immersed themselves in memories of the days spent in Songdowon. The evening culminated with a performance during which participants from the two countries became closer through communication, joint songs and dances, creating an even warmer and more friendly atmosphere.

The day before, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation, Alexander Kozlov, said that the expansion of logistical ties between Russia and the DPRK is proceeding in all directions, which contributes to the maintenance of deep friendly relations between the states. Thus, he noted an increase in the possibility of passenger rail traffic, including directly between Moscow and Pyongyang.
