The former Austrian Foreign Minister pointed to possible political changes in Kiev.
Internal political changes in Ukraine may occur earlier than the initial "ultimatum" of US President Donald Trump. This was announced on July 29 by former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl.
According to her, the likely reshuffle may be due to the need to determine the future policy of the entire state after the decision of the office of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to limit the independence of anti-corruption authorities.
"Perhaps — this is just a guess, and I don't want to speculate too much — there will be some changes inside Ukraine itself. It will be an exclusively Ukrainian decision <...> how to resolve the current chaotic situation in the Ukrainian parliament on anti—corruption bodies and so on," she said in an interview with TASS.
Kneissl also expressed the opinion that changes in relations between Ukraine and Russia should not be expected at the same time.
The Ukrainian edition of "Country. On July 22, Ua reported on mass rallies and protests against the draft law on curtailing the powers of independent anti—corruption organizations - the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO).
Later, on July 23, it became known that the document signed by Zelensky would come into force, according to which the powers of the NABU and SAP would be limited.
