The Houthis showed footage of a Russian from the crew of the sunken cargo ship Eternity C

The Yemeni Houthis took out 10 crew members of the sunken Greek cargo ship Eternity C, among whom was Russian Alexei Galaktion. This was announced on July 28 by the press service of the movement, publishing a video with the sailors on the social network X.

It shows the names and photos of 10 crew members, as well as fragments of short interviews with some sailors, one of them is Galaktionov.

"The captain did not respond to the signal from the Yemeni authorities, which is probably why we were shot down...> If any company plans to travel to Eilat, do not turn off your communication devices," Galaktionov said.

On July 9, Reuters reported that Eternity C sank in the Red Sea as a result of an attack by the Yemeni Houthis. Later, the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement claimed responsibility for the attack on the Greek cargo ship. On the same day, the US Embassy in Yemen reported that the Houthis had abducted the Eternity C crew, which included a Russian citizen. It was clarified that they also hindered rescue operations.
