The United States will hold military exercises in the Arctic in August.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) will conduct military exercises in the Arctic in August. This was announced on July 28 by the Northern Command of the Armed Forces of the United States.
"Since August 1, NORAD and the Northern Command of the US Armed Forces have been launching exercises <...> in Alaska," the agency's publication says on the social network X.
The exercises are called "Arctic Region 2025".
Earlier, on July 25, the Georgian Defense Ministry announced that multinational NATO exercises Agile Spirit 2025 had begun in the republic, and the opening ceremony was held at the military base in Krtsanisi. The military of Georgia, the USA, Turkey, Poland, Germany, Italy, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Lithuania and Ukraine are involved in the exercises.
